    Sounds like you havn't got any firm offers for other work but you need to make a definite statement that you are leaving. If you've mentioned before that you hate it and think it is poorly run and nothing has happened then don't give it a second thought, find something and drop them in it. Mutual disrespect.

    If you genuinely feel bad about dropping them in it then you could give them a longer notice period.

    On the other hand, you could take the open approach of telling them the situation is ridiculous and you feel you won't be able to continue there. They might give you a rise, but things won't improve, They might brick it and pull themselves together but unlikely.

    I don't think it'll be too much of an issue to find someone looking for work at the moment.
