T2, like Aliens, is one of the rare sequels that is as good, or better than the original. And being that there are so few titles that can boast such a claim, and 2 of them have been directed by Cameron, that speaks volumes. But I still feel T2, while awesome, has a bit too much cheese in it. And Furlongs whiney screams are a bit distracting. But a killer flick standing the test of time, imo.
And Avatar is looking pretty Disney to me too, but I'm going to hold off on crushing my hopes until I se some 3D. Between this and D9, we're getting treated to some quality original sci-fi, being that they aren't video game adaptations, 80's cartoon adaptations, or established comic book adaptations. So I kinda hate to bash them until they clearly deserve it. D9 didn't. Lets hope Avatar doesn't.
