whenever remakes of old classics come about, it shows off the passing of a generation. I guess it started with Star Wars and the beboots that followed in its wake along with every aging music group who decided to do a 'final' tour. Why bank on new and original concepts and ideas when selling old ones repacked is much more easier with guaranteed returns? With Robocop and the A Team in pre production with lots of other books/comics>to>movie, it just shows that we're creating a new generation brought up on second-hand ideas. Whatever happened to original ideas? Whatever happened to the boom in creative energy?

    Or...

Am I just an old fart who grew up in the 80s watching the birth and maturity of the internet and electronic device explosion, only to fear bringing up my kids in an age where all the best ideas are being whored out into cosmetic husks of past glory?

rant over, no more coffee for me today...

    • Foreigner is a band who's reunion tour was sponsored by the AARP, too bad films remakes don't do thatvaxorcist
