as said, depends on what you're looking to get out of a backpack.
i have a shovel pack, from dakine- i believe the heli pro, and thats for shovel+probe, and used for hiking. Key ingredients here are slim line design, and easy to strap your board to.
but there's backpacks with speakers built into them as well. Burton even makes the liquid lounger, which turns into a seat, has speakers, and has an insulated section for drink storage.
its all about what you need out of a backpack.
the AK series is more for hiking, so its designed to be more streamlined, not for carrying much more than necessities.
