I've been feeling bummed out lately, so I made steak two nights in a row. It was good, both times.

    • bummed? eh? what about did you do anything special to the steaks?
      rodzilla
    • I cooked them perfectly.brains
    • charcoal, propane, or fire?rodzilla
    • *fire would be both, camp fire/fire pit mehrodzilla
    • French style, simple, cast iron pan, salt, pepper, and roquefort butter to finish. One flip, rare.brains
    • oh myrodzilla
    • Oh yes, if there's anything I can do, it's make a damn good french style steak.brains
    • thats the ONLY way to prepare a steak.grunttt
    • Glad you're with me on that one gruntt. I fully agree.brains
    • what's your cut? I'm a ny strip guy myself. Also, i add a little fresh rosemary to my kosher salt and fresh peppergrunttt
    • I like a NY strip as well or whatever looks good at the store. No proper butcher near by. Sometimes the top sirloins even look better than the Striploins at the market.brains
    • look better than the Striploins at the market. It's a crapshoot.brains
    • Nice touch with the rosemary, that'd be nice, I've been known to put a VERY sparing amount of dijon on both sides, very sparing.brains
