    @elDoctor, that infographic doesn't mention that some cities in california (i'm thinking mainly of sf b/c that's what i know best) have some of the best services for homeless people in the country. that, and you can't beat the weather in california if you have to sleep outside every night. if i'm a homeless person in, say, michigan in the middle of winter, i guarantee i'm scrounging for a bus ticket to get out west.
