I'm just hearing that my dad knows someone in Glen Rose, about 75mi SW of Dallas. That would mean a hell of a drive from South Carolina (16-18hrs between two people), but also that I would only have to camp/find a hotel for one night, somewhere in Arizona by way of I-10. Or I could find a place in El Paso– anyone recommend? Looking for cheap and en route no matter how dingy...
