It's a relic of a bygone era, and in my opinion qualifies as entertainment, much the way the Romans looked at gladiator fighting as entertainment.
It does have some cool history associated with it though. The Lamborghini Murcielago earnt its name from a famed bull who, after being lanced/impaled 18 times, was allowed to live by virtue of its strength and fortitude.
I personally think it's a terrible past-time, but the Spaniards love it (they like throwing truckloads of tomatoes at each other, too), so who am I comment....
