Get better dude. Take it easy. Best medicine is to truly chill and let the body heal. Rest beyond those 6 weeks you were told you'd need to recover.
I suffered a compound leg fracture in my teens and all I could was rest. Needed close to a year to attempt a return to the junior tennis competitions I as playing back then... I am fine now... but it takes time.
