    would recommend a hire car. otherwise you are limited to where you are staying. there is no public transport. will miss out on a lot.

    go to la maddalena for the day if you can(north east). its old, beautiful and has loads of beaches. we stayed in Cannigione. if your that side of the island then make a trip to porto cervo. quite bling area and lovely to walk around. try and go to a traditional sardiniane restaurant. amazing experience. 7/8 dishes, long table , amazing wine and everyone gathers for a great night out. these are very hidden places to eat so ask your hotel or the locals where they are. only the locals go mostly, so very rare to see other tourist there, but def worth it. They are usually in large barn houses or set in the cliffs. Been a few times over there and its still the best place to go for paradise beaches, great food, and lovely people in europe in my opinion. where on the island will you be? hope this helps.
