unless you're a carpenter on the side, my advice would be to pay someone else to do.
i had lofty ideas of designing and building my own cedar deck. followed by a reality check and found someone else to do it. best money spent.
the task of staining and sealing the wood was alone was a huge job and almost more than i could handle while balancing a freelance career.
- I just used Danish Oil to seal my deck every 12 months. Looks great and so easy.slappy
