$100 per hour for design work is way too low for any agency with more than a couple employees to stay in business. I know veteran solo designers who charge $100 per hour, for crying out loud.
$1,200 for a logo? Dude. I charge considerably more than that for a logo, unless it's a major friend/family discount which is made clear from the get-go—and I'm a one-man shop. I live in St. Louis, which is no high-rolling town by any standards. Most design firms and agencies around here wouldn't touch a logo for less than $5,000. New York or SF? try $10,000, even in these lean times.
