Can I call you Beth?
I find repetitive flashing things very annoying. You could have the 'Be.' slowly fill up as if it were low lying ground in a rainstorm, or slowly fade in as it loads.
Or you could have the navigation words fade in and out to the right or below the 'Be.'
Although, I think having a period after 'Be' defeats the idea of having multiple meanings anyway, and I'm not sure that you have a fully worked out idea of how that particular concept sells you? (I could be way off base here, I'm coming down with something and I'm pretty sure it isn't H1N1)
