i think there's a save as EPS option in acrobat with an option to flatten and outline everything, but sounds like your problem is elsewhere.
there are also "outline protected" fonts, but the error you receive should give you some hint as to why it's refusing to outline them.
- I've heard of non-embedding font security, but not non-outlining. Any more details on this?Nairn
- only mention is in the adobe help pages, it can't convert bitmap or outline protected fonts, don't think i've actually seen one thoacescence

- obviously it couldn't be that secure if the app is able to access the outlines otherwise, i imagine opening and saving out of fontlab would strip itacescence
