I don't want to get into this whole argument again, but don't you think you guys are parallels of the crochety old people who used to rag on punks, rockers, mods, hippies etc? Which is funny because certainly loads of you still listen to music from those era's in which their "movement" was dressing the same and carrying the same values?

    • I guess not even old people, just conservatives, period.brains
    • ohh, YOU again!brains
    • yeah, but hipsters don't even latch on to a real subculture...they just dress weird and ride bikes and ignore personal hygiene.monospaced

    • I don't think that's true at all. A lot of good music and art being made and released thanks to "hipsters".brains
    • It definitely has elements of a sub-culture, you're just choosing to ignore it.brains
    • There's always weak links in sub-cultures. There were definitely many punks that just dressed like that, but didn't actually carry values.brains
    • actually carry values.brains
