just an idea, but maybe you could et 1 or 2 double spread pages with a short selection of best work from rejected submission?
that way ther could be some more qbners selected and you could keep the quality of works you think the book needs.*that said, my pants are wet... hope not be rejected, even if my mom is already sooo proud of her son*
