    my mother let me out of the car once at least a mile or 2 from home.

    i figured she'd be coming back around the block as well. so i sat there for a bit. then started walking. then kept walking.

    when i got to my house the car was parked and she was inside getting dinner ready. she didn't seem like she had been terribly concerned.
