Met a guy last night (he's a programmer here in PT - but currently unemployed) who's working with another guy in California, that he met via linkedin. I asked him if it was safe, etc working for someone you never met and that can simply choose not to pay for for a gig. He replied that there's always that risk but he works in small projects (15hrs top), so even if he looses he doesn't looses much. I guess that in his present situation this makes sense. Fact is, he already got 2 pay-checks for 2 gigs.
