how the fuck could anyone compare lamontagne to james blunt?
they both sing and play acoustic guitars. that's where it ends.
Lamontagne has an amazing, soulful voice, he could sing the phonebook and I'd love it. He also writes great songs. He's for real, he used to work in a shoe factory and is still incredibly shy, you get the impression that music is something he has to do, not a choice.
On a side note, I think James Morrison gets lumped in with James blunt too, mainly because they are both called James and play acoustic guitars. I'm not saying Morrison is incredible but he has a great voice and is miles above Blunt, it's unfair that Blunt's existence has dragged down people's perceptions of decent singer/songwriters
