    743 pages is stoopid long, and Obviously 12 pages is too short for most decent brands.

    There must be some sort of sweet spot for this sort of thing. Something that allows for some leeway accounting for local flavour within a well constructed framework.

    The problems I've seen with some global brands are:

    • looking too similar to a strong local brand that head office has never heard of
    • using culturally inappropriate symbolism for a local culture
    • using imagery that excludes certain ethnic or religious groups by way of omission or inappropriate modesty levels.

    etc. etc.

    any thoughts?

    • oh if you go thru the designerstalk link, the GE identity is broken down separately...e-pill
    • ...by cateogy, so if you need to focus your presentation towards one or the other you have it.e-pill
    • the 743 page one is the final total of the whole company.e-pill
    • I realise it is in parts, but doesn't it get sooo precise that it won't really move with the times? Or are they going to update it every 2 years?Amicus
