where i work business attire means Nice jeans (sans holes or ripped cuffs), and a decent button up shirt. if you want to dress it up further find a cool sports jacket (the simpler the better). i even wear chucks with a get up like this, but they area always clean/newish.
i've never seen or heard of a creative in an office having to put on a tie or a suit, it's just not necessary. Business attire means professional looking, and you don't need a suit to look professional.
