    I found that northern Vietnam was nice than the south in general. Ha Long Bay and Sapa Valley are both definately must sees. Hanoi is really nice also as far as asian cities go.

    Further south, the countryside around Hue is really beatiful. Hoi An is also a cute town although it's really touristy. I would skip Na Trang because it basically looked like a shitty asian Miami to me. You'll find the best beaches of Vietnam in Mui Ne. Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) is really big and quite stressful, although there are some nice parks here and there.

    Have fun! It's a beautiful country and super easy/cheap to travel too.
