OK, this blew my mind when I found out about it a few years ago:
Basically when they make movies, very often the sound recording isn't good enough quality since there is a lot of noise on set etc. So for the majority of movies, actors have to go back into a recording studio and re-dub nearly all of their lines and breathing and everything. Seems crazy but it's true, it's called ADR:
