What's really sad about the creative industry these days is that its all geared to spin now, and everyone thinks its only good to have something positive to say. Criticism is so taboo now and anyone risking it is stoned to death for 'hating'. Somewhere along the line this idea of hating has emerged and taken hold and it prevents any honest critical discourse from taking place. Its like a sort of popculture fundamentalism.

Just because a number of people do not appreciate Shephard Fairey's methods or results does not make their views invalidated or mean they are haters, it means they are engaged in the ongoing creative debate and have points of view beyond the merely sychophantic.

Relentless positivism is a very bad thing. Be brave, liberate your critical faculties, speak your minds you brainwashed Fairey loving brown-nosed sycophantic hipster scumbag Spinpuppets.

And I've never heard of RISD Ascence.
That some kind of special school?

    • For my part, I don't hate Fairey. The process & execution of Obey as a campaign was without precedence and I admire him for it.Horp
    • admire him for that. The Obama piece though... lets be honest. Effective piece of communication, but why deny the obvious truth.Horp
    • the obvious truth of its creation?Horp
