I see what you mean here, I also noticed a transition in my own behaviour. When I search for images I prefer flickr over google image search and when i really need a link that i saw somewhere but forgot i search del.icio.us instead of google and when i need a song or an album i search youtube or last.fm so in general google is getting less attention from me..
Looking for information in video is very effective and direct with hardly any distraction or pollution unlike reading an article with banners / ad words overlays and what not, although those ads in youtube video's are also pretty annoying but have a different level of attention than the video. anyways .. enough bla..
