Sometimes you need to see bad work, to really appreciate what is good.
I like the work of the artist, I even like the ambition of the interface, though it isn't executed very well. I was recently discussing how artists are the dilletants when operating in different mediums.
The potential; if they would just hire a passionate lightning assistant or a graphic designer or research more..A good example is video art. Matthew Barney's work might be shit to some, but he is taking his vision to extremes, using other talents to achieve his goals.
And yet.. sometimes the artist fails so beautifully so an interesting error is sitting there, just to inspire the designer of an interface to make it better — or put more interestingness into his/her work.
