    As said It's great for close quarters and generally help you slip out of situations (created by a nun to defeat shaolin styles, so little person vs big person). Pretty technical system, if you like to think science like. Theres various forms of wing chun depending on who you learn under and what mark they create in 'their" wing chun (bit like different karate styles). Check out Wing Tsun as to me they seemed more progressive and bringing it abit more up to date.
