The first one is one of the direst movies I've ever seen. The martial arts and stunts were nothing I've not seen before in other, better, movies whilst the storyline, editing, quality and acting (as if they were the draw anyway) were poor beyond belief. Most importantly, though, the xenophobia and indelicate nationalist superiority that pervaded it verged on loathsome.
Really, really awful stuff. I hope the people behind it have grown up a little since then and filled in the various chips they have on their shoulders.
- I say this as some who loves shit movies. I wanted to turn it off from about 5 minutes in. A really painful watch.Nairn
