this weekend to what i had thought was a big bonus and raise in my account ended up being severance pay and my entire design team including me was let go.. this is from a company that boasts its 1.2 billlion dollars in sales... they arent even hurting. i was told that my Taipei "Partners" will be able to do my job and those of my team and they wont have to pay out the NYC EXTREME Salaries, since they have a design team of 65 talented designers who can manage my work load.
thus im out, and so is 24 other designers from our New York Office.
overall im extremely happy... for some weird reason and i look forward to the hustle and to making new and stronger contacts.
