    If I stay somewhere more than a week, I prefer renting an apartment. It is generally cheaper, and gives you a better feel for the city as you get to know the local shops in the neighborhood you are staying in.

    I can't remember the site I used, but my wife and I found a beautiful studio apartment right near ile saint louis in Paris for around 80 euros a night.

    worth looking into...

      Finding a decent apartment in Paris for a week or two is pretty easy and much nicer than a hotel.
