personally, i think the cg looks a ton better than what we've seen in the star wars movies (i know, apples and orangoutangs), and not so over-the-top, 'cept maybe with the cabin/control room area of the ship with it's high-tech computah's and futur3istic interfaces.
my only reservation is the casting of simon peg. i love the guy to death, but i don't know that star trekker was ever meant to be a comedy - at least not in an intentional sense...
but then again, i'm not a film snob. i can enjoy movies where shit gets blown up real good and buddy cops jump from explosions unscathed just as easily as seeing an artistic indie film shot in some beautiful place in fucking europe and done on a five cent budget... maybe even a movie with that fuck-ugly pasty twig, tilda swinton..
