  Mine was lasting 8 hours when i first got it then went down to 4 if I was lucky.

  I've found that if you let if go completely flat then charge it using the mains recharger while it's turned off you get a much better charge than you do if you charge it through the Mac and it's on and showing up in iTunes.

  Lots of small charges don't seem to work as well as a full charge.
