I think it comes down to one thing and one thing only: McCain really thought he could grab the votes of the disenfranchised Hillary supporters by picking a woman.
I firmly believe that, just as I did when I got the news of who he picked. McCain must have thought the rocket would take off and never land, taking him up up and away on his way to winning; meanwhile, just about every component of that ride fell apart.
And it disgusts me to have heard on the news this morning that Palin "released her medical records this week." WRONG. WRONG. WRONG.
They released a doctor's note clarifying that she is in good health, while realizing no detailed history of her health. All other candidates did. I also firmly believe that they are hiding something, just as the conspiracy theorists have speculated.
