grid service is shite... i once sent them a complaint... and they said it was me! the fact was that the seek time for a jpeg was seconds with them, and on a cheapo server I had it was instant...
I've got a dedicated server with them, which is fine, i'd just avoid the grid server like the plague... i had a shared server too (pre-grid) and they wouldn't give me any more space, and tried to force me to go onto grid with it... really damaging i think the ol'd grid server debacle!
