seems like his motivations for doing what he did was to rub it in the face of the "rich" kids as opposed to anything altruistic.
pointing out everything that is wrong, and then dropping out to play with your fortune......sounds like a stoner mentality. do not get me wrong, either path is fine in my book, but you can't play both.
some people (i'm sure myself included) never grow out of the sandbox.
