do a slideshow, not pageflip.
pageflip is only good if it compliments what you are doing with it and i dont think your idea does.i would imagine that a slideshow gives more emphasis on the images and text themselves rather interaction being the thing that has your attention.
a well-timed slideshow with smooth fading transitions can REALLY add to the mood of your piece so use them to your advantage.
