I never keep my cellphone in my pocket. Most phones are too large for womens' pockets. If I'm in class, I don't want to unzip my bag (therefore allowing everyone to hear me) and take my phone out to check the time. Even if I keep it in a different place that won't cause any noise, a watch is just more quick and easier to access. I could get used to using my cellphone (just like anything else), but for now I don't mind. I do see more and more people using their gadgets to check time though.
