Man, back in college I lived in an apartment that had some living in the ivy and bushes in front of the building.
One night I opened the door to go do laundry kind of late in the evening, and one of those things was right on my steps like two feet away from my legs. Hissed at me and I screamed and almost passed out.
Then, in another apartment after that, one of them got into the apartment utility room through a dryer exhaust hose and was eating our cat's cat food. So scary. I hate those things.
