    Well I did a website recently and subitted it to a firm who specialise in accessability to do a full audit. In the design we had 'submit button' then 'search field' one after the other. We got pulled up on it and had to change it to 'search field' then 'submit' for accessibility reasons.

    So completely omitting the submit button may prove to be a hinderance to people with accessibility issues.
