  Once when I was a teenager, there was a big party I really wanted to go to, but it was about five hours away. Asked my parents if I could borrow the car to stop by the grocery store. Then we hopped in the car, called them half an hour later and said I was crashing at a friends, and drove all the way to Wisconsin (from Illinois) and partied down. Came back the next day, they never suspected a thing.
