i'd like to add a little more input coming from my previous experience with NT-BB1... i've voiced this in those old threads but it seems like there's a bunch of new interest here.

i was maybe teh 20th recipient of BB1, and by the time it came my way the binding had completely exploded due to too many people inserting/gluing in pages... i'd guess at least half of the people who contributed had just used the book as a scrapbook/folder to stick in something they previously prepared or printed off their inkjet.

now i'm a big fan of blackbooking and keep many myself and understand they need to be a somewhat uncontrolled creative outlet for us all to flex our DIY muscle, but... at the end of teh day a book's binding edge is just glue and string and can only hold so much.

is there anyway we could make it a rule to not insert pages and encourage everyone to cut loose and work directly on those lovely Moleskin pages?

or at very least maybe some basic instructions on the correct way to cut out a sketchbook page? ie. don't cut right into spread, leave a 1" flap to glue/ tape in your insert.

    thanks for listening
