i posted an ad on craigslist once that was just brutally honest, not trying to play it up at all, something like i ride my skateboard all day and smoke lots of weed and hang out with my cat. i got a few haha you're funny responses, and then one from this cute little vietnamese girl who said she was looking around "for her friend" and had posted an ad trying to find her a date. anyway, she came over to my apartment a few days later, which i found quite shocking. we drank two bottles of pink champagne and had crazy sex. we had a pretty intense sexual relationship for a few months, goddamn was she a demon in the sack, but she seemed pretty emotionally detached. she had this crazy story about being abandoned on the side of the road as a child, then adopted by a couple from the midwest u.s., and grew up in a place where she was the only asian person anyone from there had ever seen. then one day she came over and i told her i was moving to new york. she wouldn't answer my calls or emails after that and i haven't talked to her since.
