    2.2 gamma. 1.8 is a throwback to the 80's

    sRGB Colourspace for screen, Adobe RGB colourspace for print.

    pop open adobe gamma (in photoshop) and follow the steps. Make sure your hardware whitepoint matches your destination whitepoint.

    ...but good luck getting a Laptop to calibrate... they're not known for their screen quality. a $100 Pantone Huey would be a good investment.
