Is it just me, or is it quite draining on the soul looking at all these online portfoilios... I mean, it just seems, to me, to re-affirm that people are mostly all doing the same stuff in the same way for the same purpose.... and that means creativity is a kind of mass-produced cerebral paste that just gets pumped out almost automatically in this season's colour. And the paste brushes against the ego's clitoris as it leaves, to deliver us a rewarding buzz of excitement, bolstering the notion that we, uniquely, are something a bit different, a bit special.... a true creative just like we've always been told we are by those who admire us for our artistic flair. I don't exclude myself from this. Everything I do is like everything everyone else does too... but we're all automatons really aren't we. We all do the same things in the same way as lots of others. True unique creativity would so far removed from what feels comfortable, particularly in the commercial environment, that it would probably be rejected as insanity manifest.
