one half egg per burger, beaten, like jonatne's recipe
bread crumbs (just enough to help everything stay together)
3 rough-chopped garlic cloves
Worcestershire
a little Heinz 57
Coat both sides with cracked black pepper and Rendezvous steak seasoning (or any other good steak seasoning).
