i could be wrong..but i seem to recall that there was some dude that used to really rag on Jaline back in the day...used to call her out for posting non design related stuff....she was pretty new back then and he was really being a bit of a dick...sort of 'you're not really a designer, why are you hanging out here?' sort of thing...
-atleast i think it was Jaline..possible it was someone else...anyhow, she held her own, and is now obviously part of the heart and soul that is NT/QBN....
but as for n00bs?i think, for the most part, if you come here, introduce yourself, post atleast a few design related things, and don't make a complete arse of yourself, you'll probably be fine...
having a thick skin and willingness to be teased a bit helps too ;)i'll be honest and say that other than a few times when it's gone overboard (Dustin anyone?) i usually have a pretty good laugh when the regulars cut up a noob a bit...

so long as it stays within the realm of 'funny'....
and usually the decent noobs take it and come back and join the party...ex
