SD TV is not going away. Analogue over the air SD signals are going the way of the Dodo, in favour of digital signals and freeing up UHF bandwidth for other devices. But SD will be here a long time. Do you really think they will FORCE HD, a technology still in early adoption, with so many barriers to entry on the populous? Plus, many studios are still not even HD equiped yet. I hope you didn't buy your HD TV and expect there to jump from a handfull to a few hundred HD channels next year... sorry.
