So funny to see this thread come up.

My first "rode bike" if this thing even counts as that.
I currently ride it in free-wheel mode and plan on keeping it that way (though I might give fixed-gear a shot just to see what it's like).
I bought this thing to commute to work a couple times per week and get some exercise on the weekends.
I am attracted to single speeds because my neighborhood is pretty flat and I got tired of constantly adjusting deraillers and taking my bike to the shop. Most of the maintenance on this thing i can do myself!
I love it so far. This thing flys compared to my mountain bike and my beach cruiser.
