the yellow sun is what gives clark his strength, the radiation from the sun that is yellow heals all his wounds. the plantet krypton had a red sun and thus gave the planets in that solar system a stronger gravitational pull, so when clark had bee nabsorbing the yellow suns rays so many years like a battery he gained a lot of powers.
so anytime clark is hurt in any way he can just step in the suns rays and heal 100% very quickly over just healing in general.
