    I would probably recomment Object Oriented Actionscript by Peter Elst. I has a chapter on XML and flash that ties together flash and xml well. There are a couple of titles that deal completely with xml + flash but they have alot of useless information in them. While the book I mentioned is not completely on XML and Flash it will also be useful when working on Object Oriented programming using flash.

    I would recommend using kirupta or other online tutorials if you really want a hands-on approach experience.
